all right! what the fuck! am i just stupid...? (do NOT answer that)

im getting so sick of cluth stiff. trying to find a clutch alignment tool, i called Spec because the one they sent me last year is not the right one for my car. they sent me one for a ford (ford is 20 spline, we have 17 spline) they say they dont include them in thier kits for our cars because they only sell modular clutchs for us... according to Spec... they dont make a non-modualr set-up for the eclipse 420a. SO what the hell happened with mine?
do "they" (whoever they are) take modular Spec clutchs apart and sell them as non-modular to be used for fidanza flywheels?

where in the hell can i find an alignment tool?

Doesn't autozone carry a selection of clutch alignment tools?

You do not need a clutch alignment tool. I say again, you don't need a clutch alignment tool. It's not necessary for a modular clutch. Center the disk, bolt it tight, put it on your tranny and then mount the tranny on the car. I've done 2 clutch installs, and never used a clutch alignment tool.

He has a non modular spec pressure plate, with the fidanza flywheel, which has the starter teeth on it..no flexplate. In this case, you need the alignment tool, since you have to bolt up the clutch on the crank before putting the trans on. Call around at parts stores and ask for the alignment tool for a 95 Dodge neon(these were non mod setups). Dodge dealer will have one also..
