Welp, I found oil sitting at the bottom of the rear seal so I might as well replace that too. What's it take to replace it? I hope that takes care of these oil leaks after replacing the oil galley plugs and whatnot. After this it's just throw the engine back in, put a few more hundred miles on it, then put the turbo and MSnS on and boost away! emoji

Well obviously you have to pull the trans, take off the flexplate. Use a screwdriver or other tool to pry out old seal. Put a dab of RTV where the bedplate meets the block right where the seal will touch the block. *lightly* tap in the new seal, preferably with a rubber/plastic mallet. Just work you way around the seal, taking car not to damage it. Put the seal FLUSH with the block, don't drive it in too far.

Alright cool, I didn't know it is that easy. I was afraid I'd have to take the bedplate off or something.

Anyway, thanks and take care.

A couple quick questions. I don't know if there's an obvious answer to this but, is there supposed to be a plug in that oil galley hole at the bottom of the rear crank seal housing? And if anyone could give me the part # for the rear seal so I'd know if the dealer gave me the right one (they're known to screw orders up), I'd appreciate it. Thank you much!

Matt

I'm not sure exactly where you are talking about, but there is an oil gallery hole at the end of the block, alost in the middle, towards the backside of the block. Its the main oil gallery that the oil pressure sensor is off of, ect..There should be a feeze plug in there. Drive it in square, and sink it in about 1/8". I actually put JB weld over mine, because they like to leak if not put in perfectly..
