alright well i got a new valve cover gasket, cam sensor and cam seal on my car and my mechanic said he fixed the broken wires going to the O2 sensor..but now i have no power under 2k rpms (like even if i floor it i BARELY move)and the exahust is like bvvvvvvvv..(hard to explain the sound by typing lol)...once i get above 2k its better but runs crappy...im thinkin its my 02 sensor..im gettin a cell 12,21,31 which would be (discarding 12) 02 sensor and cat conv...correct?

i dunno..im not really a mechanically inclined person at all lol thats why i come here..but the mechanic that fixed it sucks (today was the last time im ever goin to him)..he said he fixed the wires and nothing else about it..although when i asked him how it was runnin (it was bucking when i gave it 2 him) he hesitated and said "oh well it seemed fine to me when i was in it"..so i checked the miles and it didnt move..so tomorrow im taking it 2 a diff. mechanic...one a lil more expensive but that i know has a good rep and does good jobs...so im praying to god its only an O2 sensor b/c i just put over 1k into the POS in the last 3 weeks..and its funny..b/c i stopped paying it 3 weeks ago 2..dam car paid off curse emoji

I think the mechanic knew your mechanical apptitude when you walked in the door.

Its REALLY easy for a mechanic to take you for a few hundred to thousands of dollars.....for nothing.

Def find a good mechanic or buy yourself some tools emoji

wait, who was the one that messed up the wires on the O2 sensor to begin with??? anyway definetely find a different mechanic, and get the codes cleared, the O2 sensor code might just be there from when the wires were messed up. Also a clogged cat will cause you to loose that much power, so check that out. AND that mechanic is the biggest idiot i know now.

CEL 21, replace your O2 sensor as the heater + might be screwed up.

replace with real Mopar (NTK) direct replacement.

i need 1 ASAP..right now my family has 1 car b/t my mom, my bro and i..my ECU is shot in my car and my mechanic said it would be $500 for him to do it, or i could get 1 myself and he'd just do the labor...it hasta be a 97 stock ECU...or even lemme know where i can get 1 for alot cheaper than 500 b/c im really dying on $$$ right now...thanks (and yes im checking junkyards)
...and labor on an ECU change? BWWAAAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA Dude, a retarded monkey on crack swilling bourbon could swap an ECU in under 10 minutes.
HAHAHA! Dude, all you have to do is unscrew a few bolts, unplug the harness plug, plug it into the new ECU, screw the bolts back in. You DO know where the ECU is right?
