#86045, "My speed sensor problem!?!?!"

Well, the other night I burnt the tires, and after that my speedo quit working and when I would come to a stop then it would act for a sec like it was gonna quit running. Well, I went to take the old sensor out, and the black gear piece came off inside the trans! Well, I tried for about 3.5/4 hours to get it out but it looked as if it got kinda squashed up. Well, it wouldnt come outta the hole and it felt like it kinda fell into a place that I couldnt get to. Well, I got frustrated and drove it for a day or so and figured that maybe it would finish gettin chewed up, and then I would drain the fluid. Today, it is still in one piece in there, and I have been thinking about removing the trans to get it, but I figured that I would try the old one from my other trans to see if it would work. Well, it didnt until I was driving tonight and it did for about 5 minutes then it stopped again.

What do you guys think that the problem is?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Do you think that the wiring is bad? Or maybe the sensor? I dont know what to do for it? Ive been reading about it in the other post but it really didnt help none. Thanks

could be the sensor, wiring, or the gear on the differential.

Holy crap, that looks like what happened to the last trans that I took out about 3 weeks ago. The spider gears were tore up bad everything was messed up in that one. I knocked 5 holes in the trans!

Dino, what happened man? This is gonna suck if something happened to this new trans b/c it only had 86k on it!

I lost the speedo pinion gear in the case (just like you did) and left it there. That's what happened.

Drop you trans now and get it out.
