#85627, "exhaust opinions....help me pick"

sorry if this has been asked before, but im just looking for opinions. I Basically want a nice new exhaust, i know that the gains will be slight if any. I do want a stainless steel, and most importantly stainless steel and not a stupid sound. From what i have researched 2.25 to 2.5 would serve me the best. Well put all that together i get the choice of the EVO2, SP2 or the magnaflow cat back. I dont want to spend much money on it but i do want a new system, no GST or homemade, i dont know why, i just dont want it. The sound clip on magnaflows site soudns pretty nice and for 375 shipped it sure is looking attractive, but i was wondering if you guys think its worth spending 100 more for the SP2 or 150 or so for the EVO2? help me decide becuase i just cant seem to pick.

thanks a ton!

Buy what ever you want. If you are going to stay non-turbo get the 2.25 piping, if you are going turbo get the 2.5 . Now just pick what style you want and go for it. If you dont want to spend the extra cash on the greddy then get the magnaflow.

I vote for the Greddy EVO II, Quiet unless asked upon. Then it opens up for a nice deep sound that is not annoying at all. It is pricey but worth it.

Another vote for the GReddy EVOII here. check out my cardomain http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/662344/2 for pics of the exhaust and the entire stainless steel piping, and how it looks bolted onto the car. As everyone says, when cruising under slight throttle like on the freeway, it is very difficult to hear the exhaust and is nice and quiet. It sounds awesome while revving it though, and it sounds great when you are slowing down for a stop and you leave it in gear for a bit. If you need a sound clip i have one, but the car also has an intake and header so it might be slightly different.

I have the thermal 2.25 catback. Not cheap, but AWESOME! All stainless, dual 3 inch tips, and best of all a nice deep sound that is not ricey the least!

I have the Magnaflow catback. I like it a lot. It looks really clean, personally I like the evo's appearance a little more but the magnaflow definately looks nice. The sound is pretty calm unless you hit it and under normal driving and on the highway it's really quiet. I think the sound is just as good as anything else I've heard, but I also have a CAI, Header, P+P intake, bored TB, and a high-flow cat so the sound might be a little different if you're putting it on to an otherwise stock set-up. I like it just as much as anything else I've seen or heard, and for $343 shipped (EBAY) I'm glad I went with it. It will get loud throughout a wide RPM range, 2500-redline, if you give it throttle, but if you don't drive it hard it'll stay pretty tame. I guess basically the harder you drive it the louder it'll get, which is true of most systems, but it will get pretty loud at WOT.
