If the 2 wires on the MAT sensor were swapped, would it read the opposite reading? Meaning if the wires were swapped, would the temp numbers go higher the colder the sensor got?
I have the Mega Squirt installed and I think the MAT wires are swapped cuz I was logging it and the MAT reading kept rising even though the car was off. It actually got up to 102 degrees and Im in PA, right now the temp is 10 degrees outside. The only reason I think theyre swapped is because I went out and got another sensor. It read colder, but it slowly started to rise, like the other.
Any thoughts or opinions would really help. My car is running like shit.
Lee if you see this, I am just tryin to get opinions why you were out. Please dont disown me, lol.

To answer your question... an intake air temp is just a Thermistor. The resistance of it varies with temperature. As such there is no polarity to the wires. Either way works...
As for temps rising when the motor is switched off... that's normal too. Kinda odd when you first see it. But remember... no matter how cold it is outside your motor will be pretty much the same temp. When it's switched off, the heat fromt he engine heatsoaks all the intake system that is normally kept cool by incoming intake air. Temps of 102 after shutoff are normal.

Easy one to find.
From looking at your logs I can see that the MAP sensor reading was always 98kpa when running. This is a classic sign of the Vacuum line ot the MS coming off. Your normal idle MAP reading should be around 35 to 40kpa. Yours is 98 in the logs. Will cause you to run super rich when in vacuum.
