There are 2 parts i found that i think go to my car, one is a small yet extremely strong spring, does is go on one of the tensioner pulleys somehow. Next is this little black cylinder shaped thing (what is it). It has whats looks to be like a vacuum nipple on it (need to know where that would go to), it has a 2 prong connetor on the top of it (i think i know where that plugs too) and then it has large opening with the plastic filtery thing on it. Any ideas guys, any help would be great. I have a picture of them if someone could host them for me, maybe that would help out some more.

I've spent just about an hour just tryin to figure out how to post a picture on either of those sites. I just can't figure it out and yes i read all the instructions on how to do it. Such as "All you have to do is right click on your thumbnail images and get the url under properties. Copy/Paste your url link in your browser. REMOVE THE "_THUMB" TEXT IN THE URL!

I dont know what spring your talking about, but I think I know what black cylinder shaped thing your talking about. I hope I word this correctly, so bare with me. Im pretty sure its the EGR vac solenoid. It runs a vac line to your EGR and one vac line to the back of your intake manifold. It also has a plug that is supposed to go into it. Its a shot in the dark, but I hope I helped. If you still cant post pics, send them to my email. Maybe I can help a lil more.

What modifications/repairs did you do to your car? Knowing what it's associated with or why it came off will help in where it goes back and what it is. And from what I gathered from your description, the black cylindar thing with the vac. port could quite possibly be the EGR like someone else said. Does it look like it hangs off the front drivers side of the engine, connected to a hose the comes off the head?

The black thing actually looks like his washerbottle motor. As for the spring, unless it popped off his clutch, I have never seen one of these before on our cars. It looks like the tension springs you would see on a carburator or if you know what Im saying, it looks like them tension springs that go around a link spring that you put a mattress on. Only other thing I can think it is, is the tension spring that would go in a drum brake. But I wouldnt know cuz I dont have drums and I dont know how long they are.


I do know the black thing isnt the EGR solenoid, lol.

i think ur rite cause the wires for it are rite next to washer fluid reservoir, and i gotta get a new washer fluid reservoir b4 i can actually see what goes to it. So that would make perfect sense. Now that you say something about the spring looking like its for a clutch, i think it goes to my old clutch that i replaced. Thanx ALOT for all your help.

No prob man, Im just glad you got it figured out. Isnt to good to try to fire up a motor thats missing stuff, lol, been there, done that.
