#8478, "Engine Repair Needed."

does anyone have a shop in the Southeast WI/ Northeast IL area to repair a motor? i have the Valve cover and the crankshafts almost off (just need to take cams off to get to the bolts under shafts) but i don't feel completely comfortable in doing this myself. Unless this is preety straight forward to get to the pistons. i have looked at the manuals and it seems ok to do but i'm not a guru by any means. more like a goofu when it comes to cars. just learning. Need to get tthe car running within the next month or so.

Nemisizz... I had no idea you were so close. I'm in Chicago suburbs.

Sorry, I can't help though, I don't know of any shops that are good with rebuilds... I can ask some friends, if you are willing to come out to around Chicago. I'll see if any of my friends have taken their anywhere... Most of my friends who do work on them will do most of the rebuild themselves though, but I'll ask if you want.
