Are you driving a neon?

The Neon head is a front intake/rear exhaust cylinder head. Ours is a front exhaust/rear intake head. With the engine in the same position under the hood.

Unless you are taking air in through the exhaust ports and exiting exhaust gas through the intake ports you are not running a Neon head.

lol, no, im driving an eclipse with a 420a, and i was told by the ppl that checked out my head when i rebuilt my engine, that it is from a Neon... thats just what they said, i guess they could be wrong.

Keep in mind there r different neon engines... but i don't know much about neons. I've never even driven one, so you might be right.

it's not. The people that checked it out are misinformed. We share a very similar drivetrain to the Neon, and a lot of the same parts, but the head is the biggest difference between the two powerplants given that the flow is completely reversed.

No, there really is not. At their core, they are all the same. The heads change, but the blocks, bedplates, and cranks, a few bolt holes aside, are all the same. a 95-99 DOHC Neon block will drop in a 2gnt with a 2gnt head because it's the same block. The SOHC uses different pistons, but it's still the same block. The 2000+ models still use the same block, but different pistons, and all SOHC heads if i remember right.

Try to research these things before you just accept them as gospel or claim that you've done it / are doing it. Makes you look uninformed.
