Hey guys,

I was given this site by a friend of mine with a Tsi. I'm looking at trading my 95 Sonoma for a 95 Talon Esi. I had the car out to the garage today and had a friend of mine look at it. The only problem we can see with the car is it idles a little rough on times. It could idle perfectly for 15-20 seconds and then die down low for a few seconds and then pick up again for a bit. Car is throwing code P0505 (Idle Air Control System Malfunction) but I have no idea what that may be. Are there any common problems which would give that code?

Its a 95, 5-speed with 124k(km) on the clock. It runs perfectly while driving (doesn't bog, no hesitation)....problem is only apparent when car is sitting at idle.

any information would be greatly appreciated. Look forward to spending more time here on the site if the deal goes through.

haha...had better not be....trading a perfectly good sonoma for it that runs like a top and have had no troubles with it at all
