I am looking to buy a ?dark enhancement? ported intake manifold off of a board member here and he said that the people that he got it from recommended bigger injectors... I have been reading through all the posts in the searches and i havnt read one person that has installed a ported intake manifold as well as injectors... not saying it hasnt been done but there isnt anything in the searches about it...

I have a cold air intake, 55mm throttle body, 4-2-1 header, and 2.5" magnaflow catback exhaust and some other little things..

What do you guys think? Im not against getting bigger injectors and the guy i want to buy it from is a cool guy and i trust him when he says that is what i need but i wanted to get some input from everyone else. Also, i dont have enough money to buy the intake manifold and the injectors so it wouldnt be a big deal to get the injectors come january, like after christmas... but for right now i cant buy both.

What do you guys think?

as always, you guys are awsome and any input is very appreciated.

If you are N/A -and it looks like you are- then you don't need them. If anything they will rob power from your car. This person is your are buying it from is wrong or he has been informed incorrectly. Now if your turbocharged then depending on your setup and boost levels you might need a larger set of injectors.

Agree with ^^^^^^^^ if anything a future add would be an adjustable regulator and datalogger so see how the ported manifold affects your fuel mixture. Otherwise nothing needed to install the manifold.

I'm running the DE manifold (John is a good friend of mine...) and you don't need larger injectors. John did a badass job on my manifold and with the 60mm TB it made an awesome difference. As far as running out of fuel on the stock injectors, you should'nt worry about that--the HRC and STAR kits use them up to ~9psi. The installation of the mani is gonna be a PITA. I suggest ramps.

Verdict: No larger injectors, I'll bet your virginity on it. emoji

Thanks guys. i was sort of shocked when he told me that, so thats why i did the post.

also, i heard the install wasnt too bad... i just heard the bolts were a bitch but they said if you go to it from underneath i shouldnt have too much of a problem. I have every intention on using ramps because i read the higher up the better. I havnt really looked at it yet, but my plan is to go underneath and pull the top plenum off, then pull the fuel rail off but leave it connected and just set it aside, and then go to town on the lower mani...

If anyone has any other suggestions i would appreciate it.

anyways, thanks again guys
