Anyone know what exactly does the power steering belt run (asides form the power steering pump)?. Mine snapped today on the way to work. Luckily it was close to work. I wasn't sure If i could drive it home like that or not since I wasn't sure it ONLY ran the power steering or also the alternator etc... I ended up having someone drive me to an auto parts store and getting the belt and changing it at work with a friend's help, but I'm still wondering. I called a dealer and they had no clue, I called another dealer and they told me the same belt run the water pump (i thought that was the timing belt?)...any truth to this? If it is true then I guess i did good not driving it, but if its only the power steering I could have driven it home.

Power steering and AC. There's another belt that runs the alternator.
