I finally fired up the engine after the major overhaul/modding that the car has gotten. I installed a walbro 225 pump to supply the fuel that I need for a 100+ shot of n2o. The only problem that I see with that is that the fuel pressure is going to stay around 60 psi while off the n2o. Do I need a fuel pressure regulator to bring down the pressure or can I lean the injectors down enough with the SAFC?

Here are my mods to the engine: 24 lb accel injectors, Crane #12 cams, AEM V2 intake, Modern Performance 60mm TB. Ross Forged 10:1 pistons, Eagle H beam rods, ARP head and main studs, ported and polished head, DC sports header, test pipe, Apexi N-1 exhaust, AFX underdrive pulley, MSD coil, SAFC, Crane valve springs and PT rockers and lash adj.

i have a 95 with the walbro and my pressure hovers between 48-52 off the bottle, on the bottle it shoots up to about 65-70

But the 95 has a regulator on the fuel rail, right? I guess I forgot to mention that mine is a 96.

sounds liek the Walbro is over running your regulator. I didnt have that problem with mine, but it is known to happen. If your fuel system is stock except for the fuel pump then with that pressure you wil need a aftermarket reg to maintain 48~50 psi. This means you will need to run a return line back to the fuel tank if you mount the Reg up front or a vac line if you mount the reg in the rear by the stock one.

Best bet is to upgrade your fuel system, i ran a 3/8 line from the tank and used that as the supply and used the original line as the return line. the factory regulator/filter assy removed and a line from the factory line to the tank return. I used a Russel filter on the 3/8 line for a fuel filter.

the problem sounds like the factory reg can relieve the system pressure enough to maintain 50psi.
