Okay, almost got the car rebuilt with everything you could think of to do to the head with Crower 2's. My Fidanza cam gears will be here tomorrow so I'll have it done tomorrow evening. I just wanted to ask about my ignition, I have the AFX race ECU that has a rev limit at 8100 and the Stock MSD coil with MSD wires. That's all I have as far as ignition, I was looking at the MSD DIS-2, also the Crane setup as well. Just wanted to hear what everyone had to say about what I should go with as far as having good control of everything.

AFX race ECU....your not going turbo are you?

if your going turbo or staying N/A, i like the MSD dis-2 or dis-4 depending on your needs. Hahn prefers the Crane...probably just a preference type deal.

anything i can think of....And just what did you do the the Head? I can think of a lot just most isnt worth it with what you have for cams.

Ok, I'm not going turbo, I'm staying N/A. Here's exactly what I have and had done. Head resurfaced, race head port and polish job, Rev standard size racing valves, Crower 2 cams with Crower springs and retainers, Fidanza cam gears, ported and polished intake manifold, OBX fuel rail, 60mm throttle body (thinking about going back to 55mm), AEM cai, OBX header, high flow cat, Magnaflow Catback, Howell AFX Race computer, AFX underdrive pulley, short throw shifter, MSD stock replacement coil (going to go with the Screamin Deamon soon), MSD Spark plug wires, NGK Platinum plugs (should I just use the NGK VPower plugs? I heard platinum is harder to heat up), and a Ground wire system. As for performance mods, I believe that's it, I plan to put a new shortblock in this spring with Eagle rods, JE 10.5 pistons, melling oil pump, you know, basically brand new goodies. I was just wondering about which route to take with the ignition stuff.

well i dont think you did more than i can think of emoji~

the valves were a waste....if you were going that far should have done oversize...no biggie there is always the future. Same with springs and retainers.

I wouldn't change the coil to the screamin demon....both are pretty much equal. the DIS-2 is all you would need but not a necessity.

as for the TB....work with the 60mm since you already have it. if you can try a 55mm for free then give that a shot and decide which you like better. If you sell the 60mm send me a PM we can talk and i have wanted one.

GET RID OF THE OBX RAIL, its worse than stock for fuel flow!

Ok, sounds like I'll just go with the MSD DIS-2. Damn, the fuel rail looks pretty though. I'll just have to paint my stock one red. You gotta have color coordination ya know. I'm looking at getting a 55mm TB, so, I'll PM you when I'm looking to get it. It's the Modern Performance one, it's been ceramic painted black, but it can easily be sanded or powder coated. It's practically brand new though, I didn't get any paint inside or anything.
