im in the process of having my motor rebuilt. but im stuck i was told that theres a special sealant that goes between the main block and the bottom of the block where the crank is. and i was wondering what that sealant was and where i can get it. thanks in advance.

Anaerobic sealant. Do a search for either that phrase or bedplate. Don't forget the O-ring that goes in there or you'll pull a Driggs and no amount of JB weld or RTV can fix that.
