They are already honed. emoji

Do you think I should hone it more? The top block pic looks 50x better than the bottom pic. Could it just be the light hitting the bores a certain way thats making it look bad?

How long did you hone each cylinder for? How fast did you use your drill at? How quickly did you go up and down?

I rehoned it again, and DAMN! It definately needed to be honed some more. The hone is not as sweet as grain's, but it is definately resembling it.

Thanks for encouraging me to rehone it emoji.

Davo: You used ATF or light weight oil while spinning the hone right? Maybe it is the light hitting that pic or something, but it looks to me that the hone is scratching the shit out out of the cylinder walls and not really machining it well.

Post some more pictures.

I coated the cylinder walls with wd-40 and dipped the stones in synthetic oil.

I rehoned the cylinders and they look 10x better than what is pictured up there. I need to post another pic of it.

I used the honer with the 3 straight stones. It works pretty good, you just have to make sure you spend enough time on it, as I did not do the first time I honed.
