well first it started off as a real bad bucking...usually when i floored it..if i eased into it, the car ran fine....now, it doesnt buck, it just bearly runs...the car stalled, started it back up and it was idling like shit, then started surging from 2000-3000 rpms...it will just sit there like that..... the car was running real rich i think because it kept backfiring.....im almost thinking that my timing jumped, but can it really do that?, the belt is tight and my cams still line up? ive replaced the camshaft sensor(3 different ones) rewired the harness, checked the crankshaft sensor, checked the voltages to them....tried a different ecu, coil, wires....what the hell am i missing....i visually checked the wires above the egr valve and nothings melted..... anyone?

it could be as simple as cleaning your throttle body...but i highly doubt that. if your crank sensor is ok, then i'm going to say it's your MAP sensor.

tried map sensor, crank sensor, cam sensor, ecu, coil, wires,...... all i can think of is timing, and possible a short that only shorts sometimes.... my timing looks good (at the cams at least), and the voltages to the crank/cam sensors were good....so what the hell am i missing?? im going to pull everything off and redo the timing again.... but for now, anyone got any other ideas?? thanks

My car did that had the problems that you listed, and mine was the coolant temp. sensor. It kinda sounds like what you were describing.

dude, my car barely got to school today. it was bucking an kick and misfiring like there was no fucking tomorrrow. i'm driving it off a cliff very soon. i changed the fuel filter and it didn't do shit.

any help?

I had the same problems :\ just today even. Luckily i stalled out right beside a mechanic...he took a look at it...my engine at this point was shaking he said that there was a misfire somewhere and that I was only running on 3 cyliders w/ bent valves...but im not sure how he could tell all of that just by popping the hood....then i put oil in it and it was running fine....My car has done this before its very odd, i have no clue what it could be, maybe a misfire?
