Okay, anyone got an answer to this one? I just got done rebuilding the head down to porting and polishing and stuffed it full of the best things. While I was putting it together, I accidentally hit the Cylinder #4 exhaust valves against the piston, anyone know how hard I would have had to hit it to bent the valves? Also, after running it for a day, I looked at the timing belt and the belt was way to freakin loose, I set the tension right, but then this happened. Maybe a bad tensioner? It looked ok when I put it back together. I already ripped it all apart and have to wait to take the UDP off tomorrow and I'll be ablt to tell if the tensioner is bad or not, I don't know what could have caused this. I am kinda worried that I bent the valves or not, it would only be the Exhaust valves for #4 though. Let me know everybody.

kinda hard to say, put the cylinder on its compression stroke and use a compression tester fitting with a air compressor hose to see if there is any leakage past the valves.
as for you tensioner....are you sure the mount bolts were tight and it didnt slide down? if it didnt move then just replace it and dont take the risk.

Hey, what kind of puller do you guys use for the AFX underdrive pulley? Napa has one that looks like it would work, but just to make sure, I'd like some input. As for the bent valves issue, I was trying to unbolt the exhaust cam gear, when I tinked the piston, do you think I bent anything. This is gonna suck if I have to take the head off again. Thanks for everything so far though.
