A boost controller only lets you turn the boost up. If you want to turn the boost down you either have to get a new wastegate actuator or modify the one thats on there to deliver less boost.

No. It won't just run bad, it'll blow the motor.

Your fuel system is not up to par for ANY psi of boost. Read the above posted links and read around in the turbo forum archives.

Yes the stock motor(crank, pistons, rods, etc.) can take 8 - even 10 psi from the factory...with a proper turbo system. A turbo system includes much more than just the turbo. The fuel system is debatably more important than the turbo itself. You do not have a turbo car. I know this may not make any sense to you right now, but for us adding a turbo will not make the injectors automatically pump "the right amount" of fuel into the motor. If you really want to install that turbo then scour the turbo forum. Just start reading. Read back into the archives until your eyes bleed. Then let them rest for a while and keep reading. Theres enough information to get you started on a custom turbo system if thats what you want to do, but the entire design isn't something that will be conveyed to you on a single thread on this board. If all you really want is an easy way to put a turbo on your car then get a turbo kit. The kit will come with all of the parts needed to get some boost. Search for "HRC" and "Star" - they are the 2 most popular kits for our cars.
