I bought a used intake manifold. I just wanted to play around with it. I started porting it some. There are the most important parts to port.

It's mainly gasket matching if your using a dremel.......I searched for you under "intake manifold porting" and found 12 pages of info.....not all for the intake but the TB also. heres just a couple links to ones that I think would give you a start one has a few other links in it itself.

gasket match it with fel-pro gaskets and knife edge the injector humps

if you decide to do some porting i would suggest using a air dremil with a rotary file bit (4 bucks at the local hard ware store). it cuts shaves down the aluminum faster than the sanding rolls.

Hey, I port and polish heads if anyone is interested. First you Scribe the gasket on where you are porting (yes fel pro gaskets are the way to go) then you use a grinding stone, make sure you keep it lubed while you are porting otherwise you will gunk up your stone and have to get another one. WD40 works good for that. next you use a 80 grit roll to smooth it out a little, but keep it a little rough, this is good for the atomization process. Anyone interested in a head porting and polishing job? Also, knife edge the injector bosses like ^ said. This is making them look like a V instead of the O. You'll know when you look at the injector bosses. But just feather the ported part in the manifold as far as you can. Make sure there are no bump or grooves in the manifold. Do the same for the plenum snnection too. Port matching the manifold to the throttle body would be good also if you have a 55mm or 60mm. You're not going to get very many horsey powers out of that unless to port match the head with it.
