They probably mean accessory belt.
Scheduled maintenance on the water pump is the same period as the timing belt. Don't do the belt without doing the waterpump, because they WILL fail and can lock up the belt, shred it, and then you've got the same problem as if you'd never changed the belt. Same goes for the tensioner. it is supposed to be replaced with the belt. Why half ass it to save a buck now when it could seriously cost you later?

Not really half assing it. I am following the Maintenence book to the letter. Nowhere does it say "Water Pump" (replace) at 60K miles. I am not tempting fate either, I have a 100K warrenty on the car, so if my water pump goes, It's on the dealer's dime.
So I guess 350 is a good price?

350 is good but do what DarkOne said! It is deffinetely worth the extra cash to do it all at once rather then going back. It should all be done at the same time! If you do just the belt you might damage something else that could lead to breaking other things, which intern can mean more money and down time of your car. In the long run you will pay more to do it one by one. DO IT ALL!!

$350 is a good price. I paid $750 for the belt, waterpump, tensioner, and labor at my local Satan.

Dealers around here usually have specials for 289 for just changing the timing belt (socal). But I would only take it to a dealer, or someone experience at working on the 420a nonturbos, because it is a pain to do, and you don't want someone doing it wrong...

Puente Hills mitsu always has those coupons, and I think a few others match each other's deals. Try calling around and asking them...don't pay over 300...
