well i did a compression test today and got 195 185 195 195 across but when i was done doing the test on the 2nd cylinder and took the tester out white smoke was coming out of the cylinder....not enormous amountz just enought to easily notice it....this only happened in the 2nd cylinder.....car runz perfect though.....only thing i did before the test is adding coolant fluid to the full marker on the bottle..
wat could this be?
PS: would compression results vary whether u did the test at normal operating temp or when it is cold? i did it cold
Where you holding the throttle wide open? and if so, did you disconnect the injectors? Could just be smoking the fuel --------------------------------------- "Oh yea, well...My manifold does cool twisty things"
i didnt disconnect the injectors... this is how i do a compression test...
take the spark plug wire and the plug it self out. pop the compression tester thing into the cylinder have somebody hold up the sparkplug so it doesnt spark with anything and then turn on the car and turn it off quickly 3 times
You need to unplug the relays on the fire wall next to the windshield washer resivour. They look like two black boxes i think some even have 3 relay boxes. If you dont the injectors will spray and probly cause smoke.
