#8098, "greddy sp exhaust size"

i know this is a wierd question, but anyone know the diamater of the piping in the greddy sp muffler? i'm going turbo soon and was thinking of opening my pipes up to 3", but i LOVE the sound of my muffler (that and i didn't want to totally waste the 500$+ i spent on it way back when). i know the tip is huge, but i don't want to get a shop to do the pipes just to realize it's going to be constricted by the size inside the muffler. anyone get what i'm saying?

i'm pretty sure the size of it is 2.25 or 2.5" right now. i was told that the turbo would spool faster, and i'm up for anything like that. what would happen if i just unbolted the whole thing? besides it being increadible loud.

I'm almost positive that the piping size is 2.25" The Greddy should be sufficient for a stage 2 but if you really want a 3" then sell it on ebay or dsmtrader and throw a custom setup together. You can probably get around $300-$400 for it on either one of these sites.

Look on the GReddy site. They list all the pipe diameters of their cat-backs.
