I could not find the copper spray stuff that i'm suppose to put on the headgasket.

However I do have the Mopar Gasket Sealant Spray. Can I use that instead? thanks!

edit: another question, am I suppose to use some type of a sealant while installing cam seals?

I'm thinking the Mopar Gasket spray is the same stuff. Might wait for confrimation from someone who knows for sure. The copper stuff we us is sold at any Autozone for about $5. It's in a copper colored can near the RTV. If you ask for it, they'll know what it is.

Also, While it might not be necessary (don't right know), I'd apply just a small bead of RTV to the cam seals as a precautionary measure. Then you'll be fine. Used it on mine and they're dry as a bone.

Yeah, the Mopar spray is actually the one recomended for the MLS gasket, it doesn't have any copper in it, which makes it more of a clear colored sealant. Either one is just fine. As for the cam seals, I've never used any sealant on them, but it is important to use some good RTV( I use the black RTV) at the designated spots on the cam bearing cap ends, where it meets the head and cam seal. If you have the overhaul manual, its outlined in it where to put the RTV. You can put RTV around the entire seal if you wish, but it's not needed if your seals are new or in good shape. The pressure from the cam bearing cap keeps it tight and sealed. Just make sure your cam seals are in all the way, and that they are not crooked at all.

The FSM says:

Loctite 5699/RTV Grey - Cam Seals

Loctite 518/anaerobic - Outside Camshaft bearing caps

I would recommend against using RTV on the bearing caps themselves for the same reason you do not use RTV on the bedplate to block assembly: RTV is thicker than anaerobic and will change the bearing clearances if used.
