I have a 96 Eclipse SPyder GS, and the engine I have now blows. It has 110k miles on it, and to top it off I have a auto tranny. I want to get a 5 spd. tranny and another engine, maybe a 2.0 DOHC. I'm clueless on engines, I'm more the body man, so if someone could give me some tips, I'd appreciate it.

Please use search and do some research. This questions is vague. Also, your Spyder uses a 4g64 engine which has nothing to do with a 420a found in a 2gNT (non Spyder).
