Hey, i know what parts i will need (basically full manual tranny i.e. the tranny, shifter, clutch, flywheel/ the ecu as well)
I am getting a manual tranny and i want to put it in my car, i have read of htis being possible and i want to do it. I have a tranny which i am about to buy, i am also geting the ecu.....I have a couple of questions 1) If i do this myself how big pita is this for a rookie rookie and i mean rookie mechanic 2) Will the wiring harness have to be changed as well?
PS My tranny is on the way out its door, hence the swap so please dont flame this noob lol.

Someone will answer your question in the approapriate forum. The search will also yeild many answers. Here is a link: http://www34.brinkster.com/chamukogs/ATtoMTswapWritten%20by%20Mike.htm
