Anyone know where I can buy a Thermal Muffler? I am going to get custom piping to the cat-back soon.

i tried googling it for you but to no avail. i found a couple sites that listed universal mufflers and tips but had no link to show the ones that they had. the only place i know of that sells thermal exhausts is HRC but i think they only offer the 3" catback version so hopefully someone else knows where to get the muffler from.

And getting the muffler with custom piping, it will work and sound generally the same as if I bought the $600 setup intended for our cars corrcet?

i would think so. it all comes down to the quality of the pieces that the exhaust shop you take the muffler to would make for you. if they make somewhat high quality stuff then it should sound about the same. if they make cheap quality stuff then it could sound like crap.

Depending on what is used. If you don't get mandral bent pipe then no it will not perform as well.

The Thermal CatBack is also SS pipe, which is more expensive and will not only perform but last.

Another thing to keep in mind, is that the Non Turbo cat Back has 2 resonator for sound control.

So because I'm not buying it from them .. I will miss out on the resonators, which will make it sound different. Emm I wish they werent so expensive or I would just buy from them.. I dont want to chance it sounding like crap.

Without the resonators it would definately sound different. They do dictate the exhaust sound. I have a Thermal cat back (non turbo model). Its real nice. Smooth bends, polished stainless, two resonators, 2.25" piping, and dual 3 inch tips laser etched with their logo. High quality stuff. Thermal=teh new hawtness imo!!!!

just so you know, any exhaust shop should be able to put some resonators in for you; at cost of course.
