Anyone that was at the 04' ShootOut knows i definetly burned my clutch. So i finally fixed it this weekend (busy with school and all.....). I did it almost all by myself. I only had help poppin out the axels (didnt want to risk busting em), and actually taking the heavy thing out of the car and puttin it back in. Other then that i did it all . I am proud to know that of any car i know that well it is a 2GNT and that thanks to that clutch i got to drive the RS for about 6 hours straight MUHAHAHA. O by the way, i cannot wait until next years ShootOut. Its gonna be a blast!!! and hopefully we will get a room at the Best Western.

I need to replace my clutch too... my car is at 110k... but I don't have any friends or know anyone that's experienced enough to give me a hand.. and I don't know anything about cars so I really can't do it myself... plus I don't have the right tools. For someone like me who can't really and don't want to go to the mechanic and over pay, what do you guys suggest? Is there like a club I can join or something just for cars? lol... so people can help me for free? Labor wise anyway. My car is only a daily driver... I bought it with my hard earned PT job money and I want it to last. What do you people suggest I do?

Your in the right place.... make some friends and throw a beer party...lol I'm sure you will get some takers to lend a hand and school you through the process. Then again theres enough info here to teach you everything you will ever need to know. Most everyone here has aim and will shoot the breeze about a topic your into or at least point you in the right direction of who knows the most about your question.

I think my motor's self-destructive side had a hand in that too! What'd you end up replacing it with?

i replaced it with a Competition Clutch that takes up to around 300WHP, which i think is like stage 2 or something. It has a more specific name but im not sure what that is.
