Tore out the rod bearings the other night. Here they are. Pretty sure we found what was causing all the racket under the hood last weekend. (Large pictures, therefor only look if you're interested in looking at wasted bearings imo)

Found this guy in the oil pan. Not sure where it came from. Curve was too tight to be from the bearings and the metal seemed different.

I just put standard size bearings back in this afternoon. The journals looked and felt fine. When I torqued #2 and #3 down to spec, the crank wouldn't turn. The car was in neutral and the plugs were out of the head, so it's not overcoming compression. I tried turning it back the other way (which John and I did the other night when we were taking the old ones out) and I was able to break the bolt on the UDP loose. Now I happen to know that one's at 105ft-lbs. So the rod bearings are siezing the crank now. Great.

I've been lying in the Arizona heat on concrete fucking with this bitch since 0830hrs this morning. She's not gonna run today, and unless someone has a miracle idea for me for tomorrow, Daisy will be dead for the first time in 8 years. Some fucking anniversary present this is. What a fucking bitch. Maybe something should just happen to her.

Turned out one of the standard size bearings had a half that was .050mm over. Fucking NAPA... waiting on new bearings now. We shall see....
