i thought i read on here somewhere (can't find it now and been searching for awhile) that the 2.0's could use the srt hg as a replacement upgrade. so i bought one and planned on using it for my head swap when i get my crower 2 cams, but.... i recently read in another post that you can't use it due to an extra oil gallery in the srt block. (??) could somebody who knows for certain fill me in on this one? please let me know asap via pm...chris

i'm using a srt4 headgasket on my motor. there r a few changes u have to make though there is a oil passage u have to block off and one u have to open up. also i'm using extra oil lines running to my head for extra lubrication for the cams i'm pulling my head off today so i can get it ready to have my other built one put on so i'll take pics to show u what i'm talking about

the main reason it was put on my engine was the fact that we could get it cheaper. the headgasket looks just like a 3layer msl one u can get for the 420a motor. so basically i dont know if there is any upgrade my friend uses it on his neon at 28psi and has been doing great so we went ahead and put it on mine sence darrel cox gets us a pretty good discount

the moroso is on a 2gnt it had to be modded slighty i just use some 2.4 parts on my car. the 2.4 udp is smaller then the one for the nt eclipse but u cant run ac/ps and if i let my car sit at idle for a few mins my battery light comes on. the 2.4 pt tranny is alot stronger then the 2gnt and is the same one darrel cox uses in his teams drag car they have used it for over a year and not broke it yet i can get pics and some dimensions on the oil pan if interested
i've been wanting to do a 2.4 so i might be putting my current setup forsale i was able to get sponsers so i'm most likely selling this motor and building a 2.4 with a T-70"already orderd" enhanced motorsports manifold and using the F.A.S.T standalone
if anyone is interested send me a pm the block is very strong and has just over 2000 miles on it ready to be boosted
