If anybodys got any ideas Im going broke fast buying $20 belts every weekend and would be most greatfull!

Have you changed your crank pulley? I tore through one belt as well. It seems like im about to chew through another. If your crank pulley isn't on straight it will start cutting the belt.

i just shreaded my alternator belt a couple days ago. mine started shreading at idle tho. none the less, it may be something dumb but are you lighning it up right when you put it on? check to see if the tensioner is in line with the crank. mines a little messed up.

Agreed! Also check for any burrs or defects on the pullies. I have had zero problems with my belts (Daco Poly-Cog) and they routinely go to 6500-7000 give or take a few hundred. I think I will probably shit the motor first. At least I am having fun doing it!!!

Well I did take it off when I had my head re-done.But its really strange that its only doing it to just the alt. belt and not the PS and AC belt. But Ill try checking them after I bring it back to my shop.
