So it turns out my oil pump died and is what screwed up my nice built motor. There were 50k on the oil pump and my dummy light nevr came on....turns out and the oil pressure sender was screwed up agian and soaked with oil+ the harness. My block seems like it will be fine. Thankfully the block didnt seize....just the cam did. There doesnt seem to be any damage to the cylinder walls so i think the pistons are fine to. But on piston is sitting lower then the others so i believe it spun a rod bearing during all this. Also my nice rebuilt turbo has a good amount of shaft play in it but it should work fine. Also I still have my spare head that ill be able to use. So my new parts list... AutoMeter Phantom Series oil pressure gauge Melling Oil Pump MLS Head Gasket+ engine gasket set SS Valves T Belt + new idler pullies Main+Rod Bearings Total Seal Rings My list of machining Crank Turned Cylinder Hone Valve Job Head resurface Cam repolish... And have Hahn upgrade the 16g to a 20g looks like i might take out a 2.5k loan...to pay off some bills and to get this bitch back together....Im signing up for the navy to in 2 weeks so i might just sell her too....I dont know. whenever shes down i want to sell it but once im driving it...i want to keep her becuase once i get her all back together and broken in ill be pushin 19 pounds.....

That's why you ALWAYS replace the oil pump when you're there. it's relatively cheap, and is good insurance.
You probably got some crud in the pump and tore up the rotors.

If they're done right,m they're ok. It's just hard to find someone thatc an do them right.. so much easier to use real standard rings instead.

I total seal rings in my rebuilt engine ... but i have no idea how they functioning b/c I have been unable to get the car to run. Like you, I had oil pump issues and had to tear everything back down to install it. After the pump install I lost compression and I have chosen to walk away from the project for a 2 months just to clear my head. Anyway, the little bit the car did run the rings seemed to seat fine. I dunno, we'll see when it is up and running. If you need help with the oil pump install ... e/m me, I just did it like 2 weeks ago. There are some tricky parts.
