#7961, "accessory pulley"

Yo. When It's wet out or when my car is cold the accesrroy pulley squeaks. Under normal driving conditions the pulley has a slight wobble to it. Can I just tighten the pulley or do I need a new one? It's not a belt issue as all belts are new and tight after my 60k maintenance.

Tighten the stock pulley to 105 lbs/ft of torque. If it is still wobbling after that, then the pulley is probably bent (it is unlikely but possible), and you will have to replace it. If you are going to replace it then you might as well use it as an excuse to upgrade to an aftermarket pulley (AFX pulley is $160).

If the belts are tightend properly, then there is little else you can do about the squeaking. Typically lower quality or old belts will squeak even if tightned properly. Using a new belt (again, tightened properly) should help that, if it doesn't then don't worry about it. Sometimes belts will work just fine forever and still squeak.
