Just as the title says, my temp gauge does not work. What all could cause this, and how can I fix it? I have tried a few things, but I cant figure it out. Also, my car is continuously overheating. I changed the thermostat and it didnt help, I think its the water pump but I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated.

Check the sending unit dude. Mine said it was overheating but it wasn't. Just a loose wire on the sending unit.

Mine is overheating though...BAD. It's steaming all over the place. I blew a radiator hose the other day trying to make it back home.

dude, check your compression, you might have a head gasket leak, and that would cause that to overheat like that. Also if your temp gauge isn't working check the sensor on the bottom of the thermostat housing.
