#7903, "Starting While in Gear"

I noticed the other day that my 1996 Eclipse GS lets me attempt to start it while it is in gear without the clutch being presed. I don't think it let me do this before or is supposed to do this. If anyone knows what may have caused this please let me know. Thanks a lot ~Shawn Rames

It should be a switch somewhere up the pedal, is probably stuck or something.

if you let the clutch out in first gear with no gas, the car will move forward a lil at like 500 rpms. that might be what caused it. try it, kinda coo if ya ask me. dont let it all the way out or you will stall like a ho

the pinswitch for it is up very high above the clutch pedal, but it is accessable, check it and make sure it's not stuck, I belive it's a negative trigger, but don't quote me on that...
