Well I got my timing straightened out, suprisingly I got it right first time around

So I got everything hooked back up. Connect battery terminals go to crank her over and...nothing. The battery is charged, but I get this clicking noise like the starter is not engaging into the flywheel to crank over. I'm not sure if this is the case or what.

I was expecting to have this car running today just in time to make it for the shootout, but now it looks like I'm pretty much screwed. I'm fatigued after non-stop days and nights of getting this thing back together. Hopefully I can figure this out.

Check the voltage of the battery after not running for at least 15 minutes. Should be close to 12.6 but not less than around 12.2. Also check connections and m ake sure they are clean and free of grease and corrosion. Your issue doesn't sound life threatening. Step back for a spell and look at it with semi fresh eyes. So now at 44 what the hell do I do?

Got it fixed, connections were corroded from sitting so long. Cleaned them up, now she turns over. Just gotta put plugs in and fire her up!
