AFX is looking into making a cpu for our cars as most of you already know. It is supposed to add 17hp and let us rev up to 8100rpm. I was just wondering what kind of efect this would have on our engines. Isnt the stock rev limiter there for a reason. Is it OK to rev the engine up to 8100rpm. You would think it would be under a lot of stress at that high of rpms. I really would love to be able to rev it up that high though. It would be FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

unless yoru engine is balanced, and fitted with the proper valvetrain to run at 8000+ RPM, you shouldn't rev it that high. it will only cause problems for you. But if your car is built................
You can ask GARY HOWELL. He knows all about this stuff. And I hear that there will be a turbo version too.
