Shitty week, lost my bestfriend, lost my job, found out i lost my license, and to top it off lost my engine...
coming home my crank sensor fried causing timing to skip. so now i gotta rip it up change the timing belt and make sure i didnt bend any valves. Any chance i didnt u guys think? Checked pistons for compression and right now they are fine, but once i get the belt changed ill check again and see whats up....any opinions?

umm your engine is probably fine, if you lost the sensor and the belt is still fine you didnt do any damage, the timing belt has to break in order to bend a valve, if the timing belt is still there chances are all you have to do is replace the crank sensor and thats it.

Yeah don't rip that thing apart yet. Just replace the sensor reset the ECU and start her up. That is just the car dieing from not knowing where the crank is, that is much diff from breaking a belt. If the belt breaks the cams stop spinning (poss. with a valve fully open) But the crank is still turning so the pistons meet the valves and shake hands.
I edited to the wiki!
