i was wondering what would be a good clutch to get to replace my stock one as it feels like its gooing out. Also how hard would it be to replace myself, i would have good help most likely. The car is a 95 if the matters too i know about the diff flywheel

If your just looking to replace your stock clutch with something similar, SACHS makes a heavy-duty replacement clutch for our cars that runs less than 200 bucks. I think I may have even seen them on Ebay at one time or another. There are some other off-brands out there too.

If you want something performance the consensus on the board seems to be either the ClutchMasters or the SPEC. They each sell varying stages depending on what you are looking for.

Your car most likely has the modular clutch setup. There is a small possibility that you could have the non-modular setup, as it came with a few of the earlier model cars. The only way to find out for sure is to take it apart and see. I'd wait to order if I were you just to be sure you're getting the right thing. It would suck to have the wrong clutch - been there.

To get to the clutch out you basically need to drop the tranny. It's not hard, but it's not the simpliest thing in the world either. There is a ton of good info on how to go about this in the manual tranny forum. Do some reading there.

thanks for your help im thinking about a clutchmaster stage 2. I want something with a firm feel and i dont want to worry about upgrading clutch later down the road.

The ClutchMasters actually has a lighter feel than stock if that makes a difference to you.
