my engine temp gauge rises to hot on my car, posssibly the thermostat? Cant think of anything else that could be causing it. Any other suggestions? I just recently had my head gasket changed.

it sounds like your thermostat is stuck shut. try changing the thermostat and while you are at it replace your radiator hoses and do a full fluid flush and change :thubmsup

ditto. If that doesn't fix it, you may have a bad water pump, which would suck. How many miles are on your car?
