the link that they give at the bottom of that ad goes to a site called concept illusions which happens to be a shop owned by a member of this board. not sure how reputable they are but they arent charging too much according to that ad so its something i may look into.

it just removes the hump on the auto vehicals, I thought the manual TB's didnt have the hump, no biggie and I highly doubt a 5-8hp gain.

yeah I was wondering if it was anyone here... or if anyone had done it. for boring it straight through and powdercoated for $45 seems pretty good.

yea i dont think you really get worthwhile gains unless you port and polish the intake manifold as well. i would rather have the tb at 54mm than 52mm anyway.

I haven't come across a 2GNT TB manual or auto that didn't venturi down to 49mm.

The AT 1st gen 420A Neon TB's were 52mm straight through.

My TB was straight through (1995 AT). The 1995 manual says that the AT's are are straight through and the MT has the hump. The hump is supposed to improve driveability in stop and go traffic. I was really shocked, the first time I saw a TB with the hump. I always thought my TB was normal.

Hmm... Yeah the Venturi is there to keep intake air velocity up in the low rpm range. With the stall on a stock torque converter you really aren't in the low-low rpm.
