Can a radiator spontaniouly spring a leak. My neighbor was kind enough to inform me that there is a "hell of a pudle of coolant on the ground under your car." And sur enough there is. Nosigns of physical damge except for the mesh (the stuff inbetween the water runs) has kinda come lose on it. Also there is a puddle formed in the drviers side fan shourd...so I think it's probably there.
So what my next step? Just get the inside one or should I buy both...and I'm gonna check out that thread in the turbo/nitrous section on wich after market one I should buy.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated ASAP as I would like to have this fixed by the end of this weekend. TIA!!

imo you have a leaky coolant line somewhere. When the car is warm the hole will expand and leak, when you shut the car down and let it sit the hole will leak until it cools down and closes up. Drivers side i would check the lines behind the head running into the heater core or your lower radiator hose. Look for green crystal like substances and there ya go.

what about the coolant in the fan shroud? But I wish I could get under the car right now so I could check that. Also it looks like the coolant came from in from of the engine rather than from behind it.

check all hose clamps as well. at this point it really could be anything if you've never changed any of your coolant lines. IMO spend 35 bucks or so and replace them all and get nice clamps to go along with them. The stock clamps suck ass imo. I have a lower radiator hose i'll let you have for 14 bucks shipped if you would like.

ok...thanks man...I'll let you know.
Well I just did some driving around...in my other car of course ... and the local satan only wants like $230 for a stock radiator and Rice Zone only wants a buck fifty for a lifetime waranty one...so I think is what I'm going to do is pick one of those up and when I can get the car up on my pa's lift I'll check everything out and if it's not the radiator I can always return it. I would really like to get an aftermarket radiator and fan but I don't feel like shelling out 500 bones for one either right at this time.
I'm pretty sure it the radiator...but I'm gonna go check out that lower hose a little closer right now because that is the area it's coming from.
