Does any one know what kind of muffler will fit well on a 99 Eclipse GS. I got an OBX one, but the guys at midus said they could fit it on there, but it would be VERY crooked and stick out really far. I was soooo pissed off.

if they have any creative welders, they can cut your exhaust piping, and put in a straight pipe and weld it up to the muffler to an exact length that u choose. tell em how u want it. im assuming that the muffler is straight through. the reason that it will be crooked is cuz the exhaust piping that u have it made for an offest muffler. i had the same problem with the pacesetter. i got a 5 zigen on the ass of the pipes, and when i had the muffler shop weld it, they too told me that it wouldn't fit, then i reminded him of creativity, and he cut the piping like a foot behind the muffler and welded a new piece of pipe (same size, duh) at a slight angle and onto the straight through muffler. its kicked off to the side a lil, and has 5zigen scratched on top of it, it looks really nice, and is noticeable but its not too bad lookin, better than sum hb honduhs that have their shit angled to the side cuz their piping is all crazy.

sorry if that was long, but i hoped i helped u. after they cut off your existing muffler, get under your shit with them and have em put the new muff up to the fender and youll get a good idea of how it will be angled, and how they can massage the piping to your likes.
you wont be able to get it very straight......but its coo, works for me
