I have a generic short ram, bought off of ebay..
would it be worth it to get a CAI, like an AEM or Injen?

Also, which cai would you guys recommend? I've seen info saying that Injen has slightly better power curves (yeah I know the whole 1 or 2 hp) but still..

yes a CIA is well worth the cost.. Colder air is what you want because its more dense and will allow you to burn more fuel..

i have a Iceman CIA.. i picked this one because its powdercoated plastic and not aluminum like most others.. because metal attracts heat.. I think the AEM is coated with something as well to help keep the heat off.. ITs really your choice.. I like my iceman...

and dont be scared about the whole hydro lock deal.. unless ur filter is submerged in water you arent going to suck up enough water to lock the engine up.. I have driven through many tropical storms down here in fl.. and the car is fine.

I love dino and 2gnt. ####ers (my word) bliz stole it but i let him borrow it

I got the injen short intake, then I bought the extension cause it makes it easier to just disconnect the extension on rainy days.

I highly doubt a couple HP is worth $150 more. Im not sure how much more HP you get but I would get the UDP for the same cost which woule add more HP than upgrading an intake. Thats my opinion.
