I have a 95 eclipse gs and my car just started to stall at stop signs and red lights. it is okay while i am driving. sometimes it wont stall but the rpms will drop to like 400 or so and then go back to 800 and so on. What could it be?? all i have done is a short ram intake and exhaust.

does your speedo work?

check your map sensor, try checking your IAC motor on your throttle body, if your idle is funny lemme know too.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

Check your EGR. Same thing happened to me. Ran fine above 1200, but below it acted like it wanted to die. Sputtered hard. Didn't get a CEL so I had to look for it. Replaced it. Runs fine now.

If you're only noticing it at idle, that's one more thing you can check. Hope you get it running.

I'm not sure on the fuel filter thing, but if you search you will find something.

Also, I make a ground wire kit that helps with most idle problems. I cannot guarantee a fix, but I can guarantee it will be better! emoji

Goodluck!

i do. its my used one, and i can't gaurentee it will work. it worked when i pulled it. they are 60 bucks new, ill sell it to you for 10 dollars, and if it doesn't work ill give ur money back. Its from my 95.

i got a new speed sensor thinking it was the problem, and a speedometer gear. its the gear for me. but since ur car don't know how fast ur going, it dies for some reason. Just give the pedal a smal luv tap b4 stopping and it will be fine. let me know.

**another response i had in a similar thread*** check it. scroll all the way down.

http://forums.2gnt.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=8&topic_id=73702&mesg_id=73702&page=

its your idle air control motor, either replace it ot pull it off and clean it out with some carb cleaner or something. sometimes they are known to give us some problems. also check the wiring for it, the wiring may have touched the EGR pipe and melted it or something. either way its either the sensor, or the wiring. clean the sensor first. its located on the back of the throttle body with two phillips screws holding it in if i remember right. i highlighted it for you here in this pic:

basically, disconnect the harness....get the bolts out, and pull the sensor out. theres a pointed barb that goes into the throttle body with an O-ring around it. thats what needs to be cleaned. either some gunk or wd-40 or something like that will work. put it back in, see how she runs. make sure its cleaned good. if it still gives you problems, check the wiring and/or replace the whole sensor.

hope i helped.
