#76728, "cams, head break in and oil?"

I tried searching, but it seems I tried searching with the wrong syntax or something. I read all about the differences between Cranes and Crowers and 10s, and 2s, and 16s, but couldn't find the definitive answer to my question.

Is it adviseable to break in a freshly rebuilt head and cams with conventional oil? Or would it be just fine to use the synthetic? I know you use the cheap shit on the bottom end, but same for the head? I don't see why you wouldn't, but if I can just go straight to the synthetic up top, that's what I'd rather do.

Thanks again.

I was thinking similarly, but I will have about a month and zero dollars to play with should something get fuckered up before the shootout. I'm playing it sorta safe imo.

THanks!

I've still got some vaseline left over from when Uber and I assembled that 1G head. That seems to work just fine and and I will do whatever I can to get some audio. I think some of the SoCal guys are bringing video cameras to the Hooters meet when I go. One way or another. I can't freaking wait. emoji

are 2gnt cams drop in and go like hks cams on a 4G63, or is it better to adjust them with cam gears?
