does anyone have a venom 400 or know if they're any good??

As far as I know they are junk. I believe they modify output from the TPS (throttle sensor), MAP (pressure sensor), and other sensors to fool the ECU into thinking that there is a greater load on the engine than there really is. Your car might feel more powerful under part throttle, but you will see zero gains at WOT (which is what really matter in the game of speed). Messing with all of the sensor outputs may also screw with your shift points (AT) and other things that the ECU controls.

On a stick, it's pretty much useless. On auto, it's a little more effective, but not really worth the money.

I'm auto. I had it. I sold it. It blew my shift sensors out. I only had overdrive. I could shift it manually, but it wouldn't shift on its own. Not much improvement. Stay away. U can't use your ac while it's on either.

Actually, I had the Venom400 for a little bit and I could feel the difference between with and out it. Although it broke in like a month...

It felt like it had mad pull with it. It just shorted my shift solenoids. That sucked. I actually liked it. It's not cool that u can't run the AC tho. I don't think it was 25%. It might have been 5-10 HP or that range. I'd say it added some torque. I was just dissappointed that they make something that can fuck up your car without telling u the risks. They never advertised that u couldn't run AC either.
