ok a few weeks ago I changed my oil and I didnt tighten the oil filter on all the way I guess...and oil sprayed out....well my car was only running for a grand tottal of like 30 seconds till I notievd..tightend it..cleand up..then like 3 days ago I get this insanely loud rattle/tick noise from what sounds like under the middoe of the valve cover..whenever I have the revs at around 3k rpm it's really loud..my oil light came on a few days before..I had oil in the car and everything..I checked the filter again..it's on tight but I noticed a drop of oil on the bottom of it but the car is full of oil so I dont know what it is...any help??...could it be a rod bearing or w/e Im not entirely sure..

Last time I heard a noise like that I manages to drain half of a 2 liter coke bottle out of my pan along with my shredded barrings. Hope for the best that its only a spun barring because you dont want a user name like mine ? Is it a loud clanking like slamming a hammer on a steel rod and is your exhaust choking or is the exhaust fine and just a small banging ?

It sounds like when ya spin a bicycle tire and stick a piece of paper or a stick in the spokes so it makes that taping noise...it sounds just like that.
