So we have the jeep tb as a mod... So I got a Summit catalog and I was looking at different parts and saw that they had a jeep tb spacer. Now, me thinks could this work on our cars... INteresting imo...

Don't mess with TB spacers. I wouldn't expect any real benefit on a car like ours. And I thought that the Jeep TB made the bend for the intake pipe very tight. A spacer would make it worse.

my friend acutally put one on his jeep and we saw gains from it. it felt quicker over all. we did some testing (racing) and he was able to stay even with me and started to beat me in some cases when i was na with a few bolt ons.

I noticed that quite a few people sell the Jeep spacers and I've also seen testimonials saying that they give gains on the Jeep. Those I6 manifolds are very different from ours. It looks more like our exhaust manifold..sorta upsidedown. The air enters the manifold and has to take a 90 degree turn. There is no plenum to speak of, so using a spacer kind of creates a small one. For our intake manifold all it would do is create a larger plenum - no benifit.

Yeah it's the same thing with the Neon spacing te TB up give sthe air a little more room to get in and make the bend into the manifold. A Phenolic spacer for the TB would be fairly ineffective because the whiole manifold would be as hot as everything else.
You would have to modify the plate like you modify the bolt spacing for the jeep TB install.
