So I have this dynotune fuel pressure gauge, it's been working fine for 1 year. I decided to cut the wire since I was cleaning up the wiring in my car now it reads 40 psi at idle instead of the 50 psi. emoji Did I just fuck myself?

Well, the instructions for my dynotune EGT stress that you absolutely NOT cut the thermocouple wire, but thats "special"...

if you just cut and spliced a harness between controller box/gauge or whatever (blue/white/black/green for my egt) it really shouldnt malfunction...

Thermocouple wire is very sensitive to breaks or changes in length. The wires for the pressure sensor should be like any other wire. You would want to make a good solid connection (preferably with solder), but there should not be any other stipulations.
